Why is the false narrative that the government will "shut down" still being used to justify these disastrous bills? The government don't shut down. The military still is on duty protecting us. The SS checks still get printed. All critical areas of the government still operate as usual. It's the bureaucrats that get put on furlough, And at this time of the year, they're probably not working anyway. Yet we keep getting lied to and the Republicans still put their tails between their legs and cower to the Democrats. After being a registered Republican all my adult life, I am now an Independent and will no longer give a dime to the Party of Mitch McConnell.

Overspending is what got us here in the first place. The government needs to work together to fix this mess. How bout paying down the debt and focus on reducing inflation by working on job creation through production based business instead of service industry business.

To Rick Scott: This is my last straw as a life-long Republican. I strongly urge you and Senator Marco Rubio to quit the Republican Party and find other Senators of like mind to start a new party. The condition for not doing so would be the removal of McConnell from any and all leadership functions.
