Four-time Grammy winning sound engineer Mark Capps is dead after being shot by a Nashville police officer. Capps was apparently holding his wife and stepdaughter at gunpoint when officers instructed him to drop the weapon. WSMV’s Marissa Sulek reports.

Don't open the door for the cops with a gun in your hand or kidnap your own family. Some how I doubt this is the help the family was looking for though. They were justified, but they could have gave him more then a second to respond. I don't know maybe if they didn't shoot him he would have opened fire. This is one of those lawful but awful situations.
