The "media" loves to ignore the fact that Trump, as president, is THE ONLY PERSON GRANTED AUTHORITY UNDER THE CONSTITUTION TO CLASSIFY OR DECLASSIFY ANYTHING HE WANTS. It does not set any requirements as to how he does it. Federal statutes can not supersede the Constitution, so no federal laws passed requiring any procedure for the president to use for classification or declassification is lawful. It would be an unconstitutional limit on the power of the president.

Everyone should have their own Pocket Constitution with The Bill of Rights. It costs anywhere from $4.00 to $10.00 depending upon where you buy it.. Ebay and Amazon carry them. It's time people understand our laws, our rights and our responsibilities to our country. I didn't know about it until my oldest brother asked me a few years ago if I had one. When he told me it was available anywhere, I promptly ordered one for myself and a couple of extras which I gave to a couple of friends. Those friends just put their copies away without reading them and they still gather dust. It would make a good Christmas or Channukah gift for someone you love.
