  1. Amazing how many Americans in these comments are conditioned to hate their fellow workers and take the side of massive, multinational corporations who are destroying this country with their greed. Truly sad and pathetic.

  2. I'm all for returning to work so that her team can get paid. Thank you for including others in your business decisions. The people protesting her decision are making a selfish choice by saying everyone should not be able to earn an income during this time.

  3. In light of the strike in California I see a lot of people yelling about Unions and how evil they are. Let me give you a history lession on how "evil" labor unions are.

Children under the age of 16 are prohibited from working thanks to unions, freeing them to get an education.

We observe a federal Holiday in early September where the majority of us have a day off specifically because of unions.

Employers are required to pay "Time and a half" for anything over 40hrs/week thanks to unions.

We are required to have a minimum of two days off per week thanks to Unions.

Minimum wage was created thanks to Unions.

as a worker in a union the "Other duties as assigned" clause in your employment agreement does not exist.

As a member of a union you have access to legal representation to fight the mistreatment of your employer.

as a member of a union you have representatives that routinely negotiate on your behalf for better wages/benefits.

Employers don't like Unions because Unions make employers behave. Don't believe the propaganda that Unions are bad.

Last fact. Every single worker in the United States has a right to join a Labor Union despite what your employer might say to the contrary.

  4. I am in full support of the strike. Not because I want woke, leftwing, Hollywood types to be more overpaid than they are already, but because the longer it goes on, the less Hollywood can ruin our old favorites

  5. She will never live this down. People make huge sacrifices to strike for good reasons. I've never liked her.

  6. Heve they ever thought about the possibility that we dont need that many writers? Most of the content made in the last 5 years hasn't even been entertaining

  7. Can we just come to a reasonable agreement already so everyone can get on with their lives?! Writers and actors deserve better treatment but this is really becoming irritating for everyone who isn't in their position, especially people who just want entertainment and have to deal with their favorites being delayed or potentially cancelled because of this.

  8. The best thing that has come out of this that, The View, has been exiled! Why can’t Hollywood give us sensible shows instead of BS and you wonder why we are glad this isn’t a good thing. Hollywood is so out of touch with the general public! Save us from another, in your face show. Don’t feel sorry for you. We want more than the basement dwellers are giving us.

  9. Sorry to say but these people simply need to find new careers. If AI can do it better, thats life…move on.

  10. "Learn how to code".
Joe Biden, as he was putting American coal miners out of work

  11. Talk shows don't need writers to use AI to provide content. You can get a 15 year old with a ChatGPT account. And if writers need benefits, try healthcare.gov. You know, the UHC you all supported?😂😂😂

  12. Nobody cares about the woke writers (WW). Nobody.

  13. Does the writers guild expect you just stop all talk shows for them? People enjoy these. We can't just keep putting rules & more rules.on things to the point it halts life.

  14. I’m so glad she cultivated cancel culture because now she’s the one getting canceled

  15. Why the Union has ZERO leverage: The Public says, "Shall I pay to watch 1 new unknown/untested movie, or shall I pick any of 5000+ award winning movies, that are free, from the video archives".

  16. Talk shows should join the strike and help them make it last for 10 – 20 years. Don’t give in. Bankrupt H-Wood and we all win.

  17. Who cares about cry babies who live above thier means? It's her show she can do what ever the he'll she wants.

Unions need to all be dissolved

  18. I'm more outraged talk shows are return at all

  19. I can live off reruns and old movies. By comparison there’s nothing lost here.

  20. Lol, the View actually has writers?

  21. Drew should get her dictionary out, she said she has read it 😂 look up ethics and educate herself and her precious children 😮

  22. Take a little time to enjoy The View…(because everyone else stood strong against the networks)…I'd listen to fingernails scratching chalkboards before ever watching the absolute idiots on the view. America's debris.

  23. I hope the strike lasts for ever.

  24. Union, Please do a reality check. You lost before you even started this strike. And the LONGER you drag this out, the MORE people see how EASILY they can do without you. There's 75+ years of 1st rate shows and movies in the Archives. That's enough for 24/7 viewing for DECADES. And the MORE people look into the Archives, the LESS they care about you. You've no Trumps left to play in THIS hand. You might have the SUPPLY, but the DEMAND is quickly DISAPPEARING. These FACTS remain TRUE no matter which side of the controversy you prefer.

  25. Why should the unions care about AI anyway? Hollywood is already full of mindless automatons.

  26. This is a situation where the Union has zero leverage. There's enough shows and movies in the archives for 24/7 viewing for decades. Who needs new stuff? And the longer the strike goes on, the less the public cares as they see how LITTLE it impacts them. A TRUE Bud Light Maneuver.

  27. She’s a SCAB!!!!! I won’t support her now, or in the future.

  28. The writers chose their job knowing their income.

  29. Talk shows are owned by the media. They can't afford to not have their minions out spreading There ideologies.

  30. Too many real workers have struggled because of union greed. Glad to see people back to work and only a matter of time before SAG-AFTRA caves.

  31. These unions don't seem to work now. I also have lost all respect for the strike breakers and will not spend any money or time on them. Not Drew Barrymore fan anyMore.

  32. Even if the strike ends, these people will still write woke crap.

  33. Why is this a problem when the Union has already given "discreet" permissions for other members to write/perform? (By and large, the more profitable ones. Gotta keep the union dues coming in, after all).

  34. I love that the real working class can celebrate the death of Hollywood together.

  35. I think I've found the spirit behind many of those in power who are willing to let the common man suffer. Ready?

Scrooge shaming his employee Bob Cratchit:

“A poor excuse for picking a man’s pocket every twenty-fifth of December!” said Scrooge, buttoning his great-coat to the chin. “But I suppose you must have the whole day. Be here all the earlier next morning.”

Greed. It's as old as time, isn't it.

  36. Lwt the old ladies have their tv shows. Its irrelevant any ways. They have no say so in any thing relevant anyways. Just keeps grandma entertained.

  37. Nothing like a strike to help a person cut some dead weight out of their life. We have used randos as a faux aristocracy for less than 100 years and it's already getting old. We got rid of the kings and queens when we realized they were parasitic.

  38. Wow, I didn't think it was possible for Fran Drescher's voice to become even more annoying.

  39. Hire new folks. Or shut it down.

  40. LoL who give a toss about these overpaid mfs 😂😂

  41. can't they get a team of robots to do the writing on these shows and move the world into the new age..

  42. if hollywood didn't hate america so much they could be getting some sympathy
