I think you should ask the people who are retired on just social security, and very young families and those who have to make a living on non-college level jobs and THEIR retailers whether inflation has had an impact on shopping. The people who shop at Amazon are the new middle class, and it isn't smaller than the old middle class and that means the shoppers are fairly well to do people. Do a story on the resulting even wider gap between the haves and the have nots. I doubt that in Washington DC proper or most anywhere legislators live a normal, former middle class person is seen. Yet why is it no one can figure out why California (and hidden but very there in Florida) especially has such a huge number of homeless. Those homeless are not the so called derelicts of the past. The newest of these are WORKING poor.
