In an address to the state, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green vowed to rebuild and to get to the bottom of how the fires that tore across Maui started. NBC News’ Dana Griffin has the latest as the search for the missing continues in Lahaina.

Lahaina is now a burial site, the government has no authority over the rebuilding of some areas, Article XVY of the American Declaration of Rights for Indigenous People, No indigenous people or individual shall be subjected to pressures or impositions, or any other type of coercive measures that might impair or limit their right
freely to exercise their indigenous spirituality and
beliefs.
3. Indigenous peoples have the right to preserve,
protect, and access their sacred sites, including their
burial grounds, to use and control their sacred objects
and relics, and to recover their human remains.
4. States, in conjunction with indigenous peoples, shall
adopt effective measures, to promote respect for
indigenous spirituality and beliefs, and to protect
the integrity of the symbols, practices, ceremonies,
expressions, and spiritual protocols of indigenous
peoples, in accordance with international law.
Remember native trees along the road sides Remember homes need to be made of rock or concrete mybe lava rock anything that wont burn.
If you build out of wood again with the insain prices of wood today when rock is literally cheaper then i know your not for the people just the money you must build the right way.
Also let there be more soil in your cities because it will allow native plants and flowers to grow and reduce flooding heat and can add colors but most importantly will make people more happy and healthy.

remember when you ge rebuilding your city. the tax value of a property placed in ideal location is very high. you'll be paying large taxes on the new re-evaluated property based on the new city that will be built there. property taxes on a vacant lot that the government wants could actually be more than what you had before when there was a business and a home

Why did they say "and still hundreds missing"? Thats minimizing the factual number of 1300 still unaccounted for! A little above 100 dead is a very low number. After the first day the count rose significantly and now its just stagnent of just a few numbers rising every other day. Theres no way! Where are all the other 1000+ missing people? Why are news channels now saying "and still hundreds missing"?
