Last month, NBC News’ Cynthia McFadden investigated claims against America’s largest hospital corporation, HCA. One neurosurgeon is now speaking out, saying that lives have been lost due to the corporation’s behavior such as staff cuts and lack of cleanliness.

We need more doctors to speak out like this. Nurses have been speaking up forever but they are told they are dramatic, complain too much, that they don’t want to work, and that “it can’t be that bad.” We need more support from MDs!!

I had the opportunity to work side by side with Dr. George Giannakopoulos. He was one of the best of not the best Neurosurgeons I had worked with when I was studying to become a Surgical Technician. He was a very caring and very passionate Doctor and very good at his job. Take his words seriously and question the authorities why do we allow profit over people to continue.
There are not other choices. This is what a profit driven healthcare system has delivered. Your other choices are to leave Florida. Almost every hospital here is that bad or worse.

"Ways to improve" generally can be taken as "more for us" und less for you
There are a need to look at other States hospital as well. Especially California. Once you are sick, you wont get an appointment on the same day. Get an appointment after a month. Go to emergency- its worst. I think Healthcare system is very bad. There is no moral ethics or emphathy, even if you have a very good health insurance.
This is what you get when venture capital investor groups buying hospitals and then cutting staff to make it more profitable so they can sell at a profit.
