Its good that people is expected to work hard. You feel alot better on that friday evening when you go home and think that you did a good weeks work. And i dont mean slaving away, just honest good progress and work that you can feel is meaningful for the company.

Elon should immediately FIRE 50% of the work force there. It wouldn't make any difference. These tech firms have too many useless departments, 500 vice presidents, 5,000 useless 'senior executives'… they're just bloated with fat. It's an online company with zero tangible products. It's a script running on a bunch of servers. It's entirely in the digital domain. I'm not saying that doesn't still require a small army of software engineers… but there's no way Twitter can possibly justify the size of their staff as it is now. There's no way they truly need that many people for a website.
