The best solution to reduce pollution and climate change is. We need to go back in the beginning. Horses, cows and bicycles for all kind of transportations.

Four to six hours to recharge .those things will fill the land fills .
The charging stations will eventually just become "homeless encampments" and/or migrant staging areas. So the people who stop there to "charge" their vehicles will become 'targets". All part of the Democratic "vision" for America.
With the current technology, a leisurely drive to grandma's house in an electric car is one thing. Moving commerce by land, sea, and air is 100% dependent on fossil fuels and it will continue to be so for MANY, MANY years to come. That's just transportation. What about the thousands of everyday use products including medicines that require some compound derived from oil for their production? "Green daydreaming" isn't going to change the requirements of the planet in a few short years, and it's not going to force the development of technology to happen before it's time.
For the battery technology we currently have, we’re certainly not there yet to replace ICE.

Nissan Leaf is a crap car for any distance. A friend had one for a round trip 50+ mile commute. LiIon batteries don't like going to 100% state of charge (SOC) all the time and they don't like going to 0% SOC much either. The extremes reduce battery life. He would limit charge to 95% and then drive no more than 60 – 65 mph to have enough juice for the commute. Who needs that added stress on top of the commute?
The government doesn’t care about E V s , they just want to take our vehicles away so they can control us better .
