Happy Birthday hip-hop
Gross negligence of violence and crime on afro women for over 50 years and you people celebrate that.
Good report. Shout out to Scratch DJ Akademy and Dirty Digits
Rap is much older than 50, it didn't start at Kool Herc's party in 73'.
Theo. Love u. Congrats
Every time a D.J. scratch a record. Grand Wizard Theodore should be paid. He should be a trillionaire right now. Real Talk. Ya'll don't hear me.
I always wondered why Grand Wizard Theodore never trademarked the scratch. This is the hip-hop business. 90% business, 10% hip hop.
4:56 Thank you @abcnewslive @meganryte & the rest of the team who put this together. Thanks for having me be a part of this amazing piece representing the foundation of our culture. Always remember to Respect The DJ … Kind a reminds me of a song I wrote LOL Blessings 2 Everyone 🙏🏽
50 years ago we celebrate the beginning of awful language glorifying crime violence rape torture drugs but I mean if Jason Aldean wants to protect a small town it's time for there to be protests.
Soul sonic force was the Bomb
Music needs a revival. 50 years of hip hop is unnatural.
Younger generations need their own music genre not the same genre that their grandparents listen to.
When I was a teen listening to Glam rock my parents told me to get a haircut. Four years later they were asking why I was wearing safety pins.
Thank you ABC News and Megan Ryte for having be be apart of this amazing segment!!🙌🏼🙏🏼
Dj bambatta missed out
The djs was always the main attraction to me from frankie Crockett Larry Levine gary byrd jocko Henderson etc etc
The dj was the first rapper the djs used to rap on the radio
