Wait till black rock and black stone get a boycott on paying the rent
Ironically this is globally happening. Absolutely sickening really, the rich got tax cuts in 2017, and land grabbed all the property over asking with the discount, and artificially subsidesed low rates at the same time.
The incentives need to be for building, penalize and offset on vacancy commercial and residential heavily. The greedy landlords are stifling the economic growth, community growth, and innovation by highway robbery. On top of cutting corners on their legal obligations. The legal side needs to have a no holds bar no mercy on mulit-owned against landlords for any wrong doings with remedies for the tenants. No excuse.
Investments in single family homes need to be for single families for wealth generation, community Investment, and transferring. Otherwise more will qualify for welfare, communities will fill up with more transients and criminal cindacates underming money spent to enforce, and they'll whine about money taken from their pockets to fix the mess they're making by strangling the market supply of opportunities by pure greed.
Edit: KEEP THESE INVESTMENT COMPANIES OUT OF THE MARKET, THEY'RE THEIVING THE COMMUNITIES AND INDIVIDUALS. They need to be taxed way heavily on this investment vehicle to build the supply, and the supply builders need to be less taxed and getting subsidized to build and generate. We need an America of ownership no renting, otherwise China will keep gobbling up our school kids future opportunities who aren't the top 10%,20%,30%. Exploting the poor is illegal and should be enforced more.
In one report no audits were performed on the rich vs the poor. The penalty needs to be raised, to disentiventize this supply hoarding within shell companies, making ghosts of liability and no accountability.

I've noticed over the past year that Redfin is more on top of the market than Zillow is and I get updates far more quickly from them too.
Please stop hedgefunds and Chinese entities overseas (their housing market crashed) from buying Family homes! I can't believe this is allowed. We are being priced out of the market! American family homes should be fir Americans and FAMILIES! They are driving up the price and we all know we would NEVER BE ALLOWED TO DO THAT IN CHINA! And hedgefunds should stock to stocks! Please stand up for families to have affordable housing. I don't understand why the government is NOT PROTECTING AMERICANS!

✔️It takes just 1 house on the street to sell at 10-20% below asking to start the trend and pull values for the remaining "comps".

The fact is builders and lenders both ruined the market. They are keeping inventory so low the housing prices are artificially jacked up. I can’t think of the next generation kids, they will be homeless for their life time. God knows when the inventory increases, these greedy ppl are blood suckers. The news channels are utter rubbish, they are not covering the actual problem, just covering the known scenarios again and again. They are just showing how miserable the middle class ppl are living in this market.

Me and my husband have good jobs and 800 credit score. Unfortunately got denied a home loan because my 2020 income was short because of the lockdowns. Loan companies don’t count unemployment as income.
