Trump seemed to be having a problem with trying to release the same tax returns he has been promising to release for the past umpteen years, so the US House Committee is going to lend him a hand in releasing them. And very soon, the Justice Department is going to indict Trump for felony obstruction and insurrection.
This is a big deal?! Perhaps for some but a major ho-hum for others. The amount of attention given to the malfeasance and idiosyncratic behavior of the ex-president is bordering on boring. Let him hoist himself on his own petard, press people.

The fact the 1/6 committee refused to turn over documents to DoJ and instead turned them over to special counsel Jack Smith seems to confirm the mistrust with the DoJ. Add that the IRS never did a mandatory audit of Trump while Trump was in office because his friend ran the IRS, and you can see why they are concerned about what is going on at DoJ. The SNL punchline is the White House ethics lawyer telling Cassidy Hutchison to lie under oath before the 1/6 committee and you see the corruption under Trump knows no bounds. I've maintained all along that the people doing the physical investigating in the DoJ are pro-Trump and slow-walking the investigation(s). How long did they drag their feet with the stolen classified documents, I mean they are classified…it would be like putting a bank robbery or murder on the back burner. We should now see real movement with Jack Smith.
