The House of Representatives has failed a vote to table the motion that would remove Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., from the speakership. NBC News’ Garrett Haake reports from Capitol Hill on what comes next and who may replace McCarthy.

It is so sad that people can't see that everything Gaetz said was true. I have no problem with compromise, but that is not what happened. McCarthey is a Democrat, an infiltrator- something that has been happening since the beginning of this country. This is a GOOD move. The only problem is that the Democrats will not vote for anyone the Republicans put up, because they truly don't care about this country or the people. As an independent voter, I have noticed that being a Democrat means you are obliged to be part of a cult or you are out. You have to be completely brainwashed to be a Democrat (or even a Republican- but the Democrats are definitely more nefarious). Everyone should be an independent voter at this point.

I’m not a GQP, I don’t like Kevin because he was and is not effective. Being speaker was always a dream of his and he did anything and everything to achieve that goal.
