Pretty obvious theirs no way to know for sure but since most scientists who are experts in this field think it’s natural then the lab leak theory is not very likely
About the origin of Covid. Of course if we are able to find the answer/truth efficiently, we should go for it so we can learn from it. However, the main reason that is given (including by the Stanford professor here) does not make sense, "We must find out if it is China lab leak so we can learn to prevent it from happening." This mean we will not be able to prevent lab leak if we are not able to confirm if it is China lab leak. Years ago I worked in a company that handled HIV Aids virus. There were standard procedures for handling the samples and established requirements for facilities set up. These standards were reviewed and improved frequently. Every lab is different in terms of location, types of experiments, personnels, etc. Scientists have been handling/working on dangerous viruses for decades and the safety procedures are established. We should have close monitoring to ensure labs following the procedures/requirements.
If at the end it is concluded is lab leak from China, then what? Sue them? Bomb them? The person who proved it got famous? How does this help us as a society? I rather we assume it is hopping from animals to human and put our effort/money into studying how to prevent that — this is really where we lack knowledge in how or what the paths from animal to human. Also, the animals to human scenario has happened many times previously, like the SARS virus, plus we learned from Covid that our pets can carry the Covid virus as well — this shows it is more important for us to have actionable plan to minimize preventable loss of lives. No different from earthquakes or Tsunami readiness plans.

I think covid was meant to divide and conquer., Russia and Ukraine war, China wants to team up with Russia and wants Taiwan also has issues with the west.. between Russia China North Korea and now I'm seeing Iran wheather some of what I see is true or not I think I'm seeing an agenda. And even if putin wanted to pull out of the war with Ukraine I don't think he could with the deals or if he has deals with North Korea China or Iran and what ever other country. My Point i believe covid was made on purpose to thin out the population a little bit. And mess with the economy gas prices food and shelter hikes to exhaust as much of our resource as possible. Maybe the best way to try and win a war with more people such as nato was to be strategic Korea been making weapons for a long time and Trump warned them to stop. And im pretty sure Russia been testing Canadian air space for a long time since at least 10 or 15 years ago when the Americans picked the russians up in their radar. That was the first time I heard Canada was 10 years behind in radar n technology. Then it came out that mysterious white balloons were popping up in Canadian and American Air space. I haven't heard much about the russian submarine or where the white balloons were launched from however my guess was that it was launched from the submarine and not China or maybe both..

I don't care about how it originated, whether it was man-made or God-made. Because the guy who was President of the United States, a Republican, Donald J. Trump flubbed the response of the pandemic from day one and over a million people in this country alone died from the virus as a result. I'm not concerned about how it happened. I'm actually more concerned about who to have in charge if similar situations like COVID-19 three years ago should happen again in the future.

Hello! I propose to stop using the ending -s in Present Simple. At least we can use it optionally. Actually we don't need to use it in singular verb forms because -s is first of all an indicator of PLURAL for substantives (book – books, house – houses etc.) That's why it don't associate with a meaning of "singularity". Therefore "he makes" for example sound illogically. He/she/it is ONE person/subject, that's why he/she/it don't need -s. We should say "he make" like we do it for other verb forms (I make, you make, they make) as well as in Past Simple – all verb forms are the same for each person (I made, you made, he made etc.) It really make the system of verbs clear, well balanced and not confusing. Nowadays, this abundant ending is really unnecessary, becoming more and more a kind of obsolete rudiment.
