The United States is inching toward a government shutdown as House Republicans are struggling to find common ground to agree on a temporary spending bill. Lawmakers have until the end of September to keep the government funded.

Dumpy, or rather the Republicans, have the support of 29% of the US electorate, most of whom are not educated beyond high-school level. That in itself is not a problem, but it does point towards an uncritical and unthinking political standpoint. The Dumpster wants his toadies in the Republican Party to effectively force a government shutdown which will, in effect, have the greatest negative effect on his very own support-base. He will then, obviously, proceed to blame the Democratic Party and Joe Biden, even though it is of his own doing. The worst thing is that his base will bleat away like the sheep they are, following the Trumpist anti-American, anti-democratic rhetoric. Ultimately, the Republicans indicate how self-serving they are, forgetting that they are supposed to REPRESENT the people, as opposed to acting against them. And, of course, Jelly-Boy McCarthy continues to demonstrate his lack of spine.
So far Republicans have done nothing to help lives of American families.
They want to shut down the government which will hurt millions of Americans.
