Tax payers are NOT on the hook for this cancellation. That's the power of the purse, when you can print money into existence. In fact, this will likely free up students to put more tax dollars into the economy.

These students can not hide and get away with someone else paying their way any more! These wussy a$$ students have to get a real job and go out and work hard for the first time in their lives to pay back every damn cent they borrowed! Is Mr. Banker going to say I don't have to pay my mortgage anymore??? How about those students go out and work hard for 40 years to pay my mortgage for me!!!
We worked hard to pay for my kids to go to collage. We sacrificed doing and having things to save money for this. Now I am being told I should not have done that. Each of my three children could have gotten $20k to start their lives but instead I am paying for somebody else. Somebody else I don't even know and who could be bothered to save for this. This is completely unfair. I hope the Biden Admin will pay me back the $60k that he owes me.
We now know for sure that the cost of buying a single vote is $10,000 of my money
I AM VEHEMENTLY AGAINST ANY PLAN TO FORGIVE COLLEGE LOANS. Call me old fashioned but I believe if you take a loan, you should pay the loan back. Period.
Furthermore, I question the ability for the president to put in place such an expensive program without the approval of the congress.
Let the market sort out the college debt crisis. The colleges that offer a good value will survive. The others will not. If the students do not feel the cost of college is worth the return, they will turn elsewhere for ways to earn a living. This is the way the free market works. And it does so without the involvement of the government.
And if by some chance you get your way to forgive the college loans, then I expect that you will also reimburse hard working responsible Americans like my wife and me who sacrificed to pay their children's college tuition. While my irresponsible neighbors enjoyed driving new cars and spending summers at their family cottages, my wife and I were busy staying at home and saving every penny we could. And guess what? I am proud to say that all of our children graduated college and none of them have any outstanding loans.
By the way, Congresspersons, at $50,000 per student, you can make my check out for $150,000. At $10,000 per student, you can make my check out for $30,000. My address is included below.
Forgiving college loans is encouraging the type of irresponsible behavior that is responsible for our huge National debt. Just because you, as a member of Congress, can spend money you don’t have does not make it right. And it only compounds America’s financial crisis when you encourage it citizens to do the same.

Hit the bottomline: 87% of Americans who did NOT have student loan DEBT – now DO to the tune of $2K (except for politicians and government workers… we pickup the tab on ALL their taxes… too!)
