As a German all I can say is, that most people avoid packed places, looking for exits as soon as it gets too crowdy.

I went to a concert once and it was crowded where people were shoving and pushing like crazy. I’m pretty big and I was able to push them away. Never again would I ever go to any place that has a lot of crowds, party, celebration, concert etc

This is why I love metal shows, it can be fast, violent and intense. But there is a level of awareness held by majority or the crowd and the artist on stage. You fall, someone will pick you up, an emergency, the show will stop. True love in the metal world.
