Private equity firms are trying to convince the public that renting single family homes is what people want. Then they can financially trap you with rent that is so expensive you can't afford to save for a house. And they tease you with excellent maintenance and repairs which we all know is false.
Pretty simple solution. Equity companies can not own single family houses. Government buys these homes from the companies at cost, so they don't loose money, They keep whatever profit they've already made.

Do y'all see what is taking place?? These private corporations will soon OWN most of the real estate market and be able to control rent pricing which will be sky high. They are paying way over asking price because they KNOW they will get it all back. The Elite are buying ALL the farmland and actually paying farmers to QUIT. Soon they will have total control over everyone through food and shelter and we will be slaves working for basic necessities to survive. We will own NOTHING, and be happy. That's the plan, believe it or not! Has been the plan for many years, many wrote it off as "conspiracy theories".

It's all legal. This is a capitalist country. Landlords can charge whatever they want for rent. Oh, you want the government to step in and impose rent control? That's called socialism, what almost every American has proclaimed they don't want. Well, you can't have it both ways. What do you want? Capitalism or socialism?

Private equity is destroying our lives. I discovered that i work for a medical center owned by private equity and that I rent my apartment from a different private equity. It's a nightmare. Life has never been more difficult having to work for and live under these criminal secretive private equity firms. They literally squeeze every dollar they can out of everything they encounter for profit, no matter who's lives are destroyed
There's nothing wrong with landlords making money but it's really disgusting when the government and all these other agencies have to come up with money to help people all it's doing is going in the rich people's pocket through these funds that buy up all this housing so for all the rich people that say that the poor people just take money from the government they're doing the same thing just in a different way through Section 8 and other programs that are needed to help people rent keeps increasing at a higher rate than wages a lot higher rate it's the same issue with College college is so expensive because the government will just keep lending money to 18 year olds like it's nothing and then these colleges are just basically large tax shelters with all these endowments they're just dripping with money but they charge more and more and more for these students to go because the government will keep providing as much money as they want there's no simple answer to it the government can't stop providing the money but guaranteed if that government money wasn't there True Market forces would regulate the prices to where people could afford it because if people can't afford it it doesn't matter how high it is you make no money that's a true capitalist Market something is worth what the market will bear

This is causing massive homelessness all over the country why these people make millions they don't fix nothing they don't compensate for anything but raise the RENT this is criminal and these owners have all the protection it's going to cause violence and frustration …it's a SHAME they never get held accountable meanwhile the people suffer and many die under these circumstances….it's just getting more terrible everyday and more unberable

This may give companies, housing, and consumers an opportunity to settle and allocate to savings, while stabilizing consumer income. It seems that every time a cola adjustment is pushed, inflation becomes its shadow.

Young people should look for high pay job..regardless of the rent cost on that location. Then live in a car to save the rent monney for down payment…dont rent an apartment.

My rent increased last month….and i wondered why would they raise rent during these tough times? It just dont make sense to pile on all this stress on people especially wirh inflation.

We have a problem with rent increases. I am a landlord but I don't overcharge my tenants. I am sorry for our young people because they won't be able to afford homes in the future.
Young people should buy place to live. Home is a basic requirement to humans. Even Animals don’t rent.
