When did we start calling it food insecurity? I've been calling it starving, going hungry, and broke. I can't keep up with all of the new regime changes.
A clever and valiant effort. But trying to make complete nutritious meals solely from Dollar Tree items, seems oxymoronish. Too bad it has come down to having to do this, for any community.

People buy small foods for more money vs more food for less money per meal. I'm sure she does not feel her family from only a dollar store. Dollar stores have nothing healthy there nothing to offer. The best thing you MIGHT be able to buy is rice but even then that's covered in chemicals they don't warn you about. There's hardly anything fresh or organic there. There's no cereal that's healthy or flour that isn't bleached.
