Ambrose because of his height he gets the ball to bounce more than the other bowlers. Extra bounce and pace makes it difficult for the batsman to face. He's strong and powerful, can bowl long spells without getting tired!!! Most batsman don't want to face Ambrose!!!
This generation of Australian cricketers would mentally disintegrate under the great West Indies Attack!

Maybe Ambrose wasn't the best fast bowler ever but he was certainly my favourite. Everything about his game was legendary. The easy of the action yet the rapid pace, the unerring line and length, the bounce, movement and not least, the attitude. Both terrifying and terrific.
The late Dean Jones, found out as did the Australian test team, how brilliant a bowler Sir cCurtly Ambrose was and still would be.

One of the finest bowlers I have ever seen. McGrath and Ambrose were the finest bowlers I have ever seen. I heard Joel Garner was even better than Ambrose but I never saw him play.
