As a black man I'm glad they will eliminate this affirmative action . Black men don't benefit from it anyway, its yt women who benefit from it the most!!! Also I noticed that Chinese American students are not allowed in certain engineering programs at research universities after Trump policies. In my university there were two Americans who happened to be from Chinese decent were targeted and they were honored at end of investigation. So I hope if we focus on the real issue.

There are those who would argue that Affirmative Action was a form of reparation and that Blacks have been compensated. That in itself is mere tokenism, America has a long way to go in doing the right thing by those who have been unjustly wronged. In a fair and just society race wouldn't be a compelling factor, however in America there is a large segment who believe this country was built by and for the White Race and until that mindset is vanquished we'll forever have a race problem.

Uh huh, I still remember applying to the University of Michigan (my Alma Mater) and my jaw literally dropped when I saw how my high ACT score counted for exactly the same amount of points as simply checking the box for "black".

If you can’t see the harm it’s on you. Do the damn math. There is absolutely no reason why the largest population shouldn’t be the largest admission rate. But that isn’t how it is. We have the second largest population being admitted practically automatically regardless of their test scores or grades. Which isn’t equality. We have over 80% admissions for black students to 30% of whites. 10% Latinos and 1-2% Asians. Affirmative action must be overturned. We cannot get rid of race issues if we don’t stop with racial based applications and giving recusal based decisions on things such as schools, welfare and so on. It has to stop.
