Hurricane Hilary is bearing down on Mexico as residents of Southern California and others throughout the Southwest brace for the storm to move into the region. Officials said the storm could bring life-threatening rip currents and deadly mudslides. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson reports.

I hope this hurricane doesn't do too much damage there to Mexico and Calfornia. This is the 1st time in my life I'm hearing about a hurricane striking anywhere west of the gulf of Mexico. After all, hurricanes normally hit the Carribbean islands, Florida, the Carolinas, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana.
SANDBAGS DO NOTHING WHEN FLOOD WATERS ARE ANYWHERE NEAR THESE LEVELS. MASSIVE TARPS WERE SECURED AROUND THE HOUSE AT LEAST 5 FT UP EACH SIDE AND 3 FT FROM THE BASE. THE FLOOD WATER ALONE WITH MASSIVE PRESSURE WILL SECURE THIS TO THE HOUSE!!!
And lightning, don't forget the lightning that will most likely utilize this opportunity and use their plans for his own agenda 😁

The radar shows most of the damaging effects of this storm/hurricane are in Mexico, not in the US.
We are getting a light rain in LA, as expected if you were closely watching the radar, not the news media. I understand the need for adequate preparation, but let’s not gloss over the importance of accuracy in reporting.
