Dr. Kissinger is not without blemishes. He was part of the US campaign in S.E. Asia. That war still leaves scars, in terms of human, political and geographical. But he is a very capable diplomat who know when to yield, and when to use the rod, for US national interests of course.
Without a doubt, he is being held in very high esteem in China even after 4 decades. One can see the respect and humility in President Xi's face when spoke with the Doctor.
The question one needs to ask…where is Joe Biden and his administration is all these? Does it need to bring out Dr, Kissinger to smooth the path for China-US relation?
