'I knew I was under the ball': Smith on contentious non-catch | Alinta News Wrap

While conceding he was unsure about his attempted slips grab to dismiss Dean Elgar on day four, Steve Smith said he was “certain” he had legitimately caught Heinrich Klaasen on day five, despite the third umpire determining it was not out.

  1. Cummins is all smiles. Loved the reply "our 2 were out, theirs wasnt"

Has been world #1 bowler for years now…and still the same happy fun guy. The women in particular do seem to love him. Smith has a good face for radio.

  2. All this demonstrates is that even the best fielder in the world doesn't know what he's talking about. Way too many catches are being given where the fielder has grassed it.

  3. Yeah yeah, we all believe Australians. Come on dude, you guys are liers when it comes to catches from even the time of the ultimate lier Ponting. And now the Sandpaper cheater? Yeah, we believe you. 🀣

  4. Maybe don't stand that far back

  5. We have all got to stop the hate for this man. He was captain when something happened which the whole team knew about but only him and vice captain warner were punished. In the first catch you could see his face he knew it wasnt out. If you look at the second from above there is a shadow but other angles you can’t tell.

  6. I agree with Cummins opening statement, as a kiwi

  7. David Warner player of the series is the most puzzling decision in cricket history since Kane Williamson made his debut at age 30

  8. Wouldn't be the first time he's cheated, would it?

  9. If it touches the grass then it's touched the ground. Technically,,one blade of grass is sufficient.

  10. How about players just be fair and honest…oh wait, it’s Steve Smith

  11. It's clearly not a catch.
just a turn over hypothetical I can guarantee you a catch which has grazed less of the grass than that smith and any Australian batsman is gonna stand his ground show utter disgust if that catch was given in favor of the bowling team but, we are Australians what we feel is always right doesn't matter if it's not the fact.

  12. Impossible for india to win against australia

  13. Full of drama at SCG from day 1 to day 5. Absolutely bullshit weather, pitch and specially decision of umpires. πŸ‘Ž

  14. Smith is the best fielder in the world, he is the best.

  15. Once a cheater always a cheater.

  16. Smith has not Learned from his past mistakes. He is the best cheater in cricket game.

  17. This is similar to Harmer's catch off Marnus earlier in the test. I thought that both of them were out, but both were given not out.

  18. King Kohli owns this Cheater and match fixer.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£

  19. πŸ˜—πŸ˜—πŸ˜—πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

  20. Swepson shouldn't be in India Tour. You should pick Matt Short in India Tour for One dayers and Kuhnemann in Test matches
