  1. If police knew they arrested the wrong Sheldon Thomas they should be facing the same sentence he did at a minimum

  2. How could they Mix them up?seriously
    Are they Lazy?

  3. I Hope those involved are fired and lose their pension benefits before they are allowed the opportunity to resign. Give those benefits to the victim instead. Enough already. The goons who are part of the police force, prosecution and, in some cases, even the judges, have got to be held accountable.

  4. Cops and prosecutors could care less as long as they put SOMEONE in jail!

  5. At a court appearance where he's expected to be freed and he is handcuffed with his hands behind his back. WTF!
    Systematic racism country wide!

  6. This is why we cannot morally implement the death penalty. THEY GET IT WRONG. SOMETIMES ON PURPOSE.

  7. Oh dude no way, the "officer" who lies needs to be sued. Money can't make up for this innocent young man's life taken from him, but the "officer" needs to be held accountable. This is inexcusable

  8. There are SO MANY BLACK MEN IN THIS SAME SITUATION

  9. My heart hurts for that man but glad to see him get his freedom back he can never get that time back

  10. At least he's only 35..he can have some live
Any judicial figure that is shown to have broken rules to get a dodgy conviction should be charged with kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment and human trafficking charges
By the next day every prosecutor in country would be reviewing every past case

  11. Oh you're going to give back!!

  12. That detective needs to be brought up on charges. God bless this young man with a great future.

  13. This man needs to be exempt from paying taxes for the rest of his life for what this garbage of a justice system we have did to him

  14. Then those coppers who locked him up should give him everything they have worked for over the past 20 years. Because how must he now begin to build a life

  15. I'm glad that 😌 he has been released. This is shameful 😔 what happened to him!

  16. How is he going to be compensated? What if he had been sentenced to death penalty?
His wrong conviction has to have a real impact on our whole judicial system. Perjury and bad faith are crimes that touch the must sensitive points of our social structure.

  17. Wow praise be to Yah justice was done and to see how forgiving he is is a testimony to Yah worki g power of forgiveness Yah bless this man

  18. Heres why we hate bad government they wont prosecut that cop the falsely testified he put thos kid in prison now he should be in prison and striped of his pension for damages to this now man and not the taxpayers money

  19. It breaks my heart how often this happens to us and yet we still can’t get enough white people to stand with us and demand change. It is a known fact that NOTHING happens in this country unless a good majority of white people are on board.

  20. Wait, wait, wait, you’re telling me that this kid (at the time) was convicted starting from a “mix up” of mugshots and having the same name? So there was literally NO physical evidence against him. And the detective LIED in court?! And the police KNEW they had the wrong Sheldon Thomas?! Let’s think about this: it took zero physical evidence to convict a person of murder. This is ridiculous. The detective should be imprisoned for perjury and all the others involved should be fired, stripped of pension, sued for false arrest and prosecuted for kidnapping.

  21. That's about 150.000 hours he spent in there. What's the minimum wage + interest? Don't apologize, do the math and pay him for the lost time at least.

  22. Hey! At least he is going to be young and rich!

  23. Nope they better pay him

  24. the government should take care of him until he’s dead

  25. compensation … 5 million dollars tax free
