To say that just because the ICJ did not explicitly use the word ceasefire (they merely told them to stop killing Palestinians, which would include Hamas members, by the way!) does not prove that they are going to find on the merits that there is no genocide. The final dispensation depends a great deal on what Israel does now. If it doubles down, they will be condemned. They MAY be able to escape if they reverse course quickly (though given the systematic destruction of universities and cultural sites, etc, the targeting of educated people, I think they have reached the point of no return)… If Israel continues to attack the population of Gaza given its weakened state, well, the common sense inference can be added to the genocidal statements of Israeli officials as found by the Court: A sane and sober person intends the natural consequence of his actions. This is used to convict people of murder, and applies equally to genocide.
if Israel refuses to obey the Court order, this is very relevant in determining ultimate guilt. Israel must understand that if they continue on their present course, and if the predictable death toll of hundreds of thousands results, it would be extremely difficult for them to defend against a genocide finding on the merits.
Why are there no independent journalists from gaza. Why just one from tel aviv
