Idaho police found the extremists after receiving a 911 call where someone described seeing a “little army” at a local hotel. Being affiliated with a group is not a crime. Being a white supremacist is not a crime. Police did not (to my knowledge) find any actual weapons, they found homemade riot shields and 1 smoke grenade (not a crime). All of the evidence at this point is possibly invalid due to possible violations of this group's civil rights, including the first amendment right of freedom of speech. You don't have to listen to what people say but you do have to respect the fact that they still have first amendment rights. The exact same right that the pride festival was operating under. In my personal opinion, if this was a true arrest, the police botched it. That alleged military operations plan or whatever could have just as easily been a plan for a protest written by an individual that is ex-military. In short, the police here violated rights using conjecture and labeling them white supremacists so that the public was okay with them violating these 31 people's rights. There were actually more dangerous people at the pride festival openly carrying actual weapons but this group of peaceful peotestors was targeted because people did not like what they had to say.
