The practice of negotiating with terrorists in the hopes of getting hostages back alive should have been quashed long ago among all countries. It is an obvious strategic mistake. It only encourages more kidnappings. Since there are hostages in limbo now such an announcement will have to wait, but when this is resolved it must be stated loudly and clearly and not just by Israel. My heartfelt condolences to all the families who have lost loved ones.
