China and Chinese never ever had experiences of Democracy or Democratic taste or norms till date.
All Chinese or people are used and habituated to live and die in dictatorship and following orders. Therefore fighting for one’s own rights or general public is not their in blood and culture. Those who do not know the value of human rights and democracy will not fight to get them. It is like feeling indifference between gold and brass by people who don’t know the value of gold!
So do not expect any major positive change, in China.

Zero COVID is just a reflection of the CCP’s corruption and incompetence. The CCP opted for lockdowns and traditional Chinese medicine rather than bringing in effective vaccines out of pride. The CCP developed their own vaccines using the old fashioned technology and it’s not very effective. The entire population is basically unvaccinated at this point and the virus is spreading at record levels which brings up another problem: the CCP healthcare system is not very good, they don’t have enough doctors and nurses and a lot of the ones they have are poorly trained

It's about a lot more than just covid restrictions, that was the spark. Way more than a few hundred protesters here and there too. If they fail to get it under control a lot of corrupt "officials" will be exposed. Expect media to go dark and silent when the slaughtering begins.
