The owner of Lankford Funeral Home and Family Center in Jeffersonville, Ind. plead guilty to dozens of charges after 31 decomposing bodies and 17 cremains were found at his funeral home last year. Randy Lankford faces four years in prison and eight years of home incarceration. WAVE’s Sean Baute reports.

This also happened in upstate NY another scenario very similar. There is clearly a need for increased oversight on these facilities.

No I don't know why they don't have this on TV is reality TV show? It's way better than a Vanderpump Rules or the Kardashians in my opinion and it Rivals Harry and Meghan episode? This truly is shocking!
I'm not the least bit surprised, over the last few decades funeral directors had been caught doing a lot of despicable things. A few years ago when my neighbor grandpap passed away the funeral home lost the body! I attended the wake myself, but the actual funeral service that was supposed to be the next day they lost the body, it was a total shock to the family! At the service when they was going to view the body for the last time, as they proceeded to open the casket and then tried to close it, family members came up to look at their love one and to their surprise it was a donkey's upper torso in the casket…….. they actually dressed it like a person, it was smiling wearing dentures that belong to my neighbor's grandpap and wearing a suit with a top had, needles to say it was totally pandemonium, I felt so awful for my poor neighbor and family, well over the years that funeral home was shut down, but open up under a new name, my neighbor filed a lawsuit but don't know what happened to the funeral director

This is hardly the first time something like this has happened and one reason why I've opted out of a conventional funeral for myself.
Who gives a shlt? They are dead. Why is it ok for people in science to be allowed to set your body out in nature to let your body decompose for "science" purposes? The human race has gone completely mad.
I don't understand…doesn't most people have funeral few days after death? So how did he have bodies so long without people asking where's my loved one so we can have funeral.??? I'm lost. Please someone tell me what I'm missing

I'm a little confused. Did he lock the bodies in an unrefrigerated room that nobody else had access to? How long did the families wait before they reported this?
What money does to some people especially when they have expensive spending habits cuz of imagine he did. He’s basically a grave robber but we forgive him and may he find god and walk right from now on. That’s one thing you don’t mess with is grieving peoples money. A thought just came to mind just now if I was a preacher I would tell my members and the world if you are grieving, dying or poor please don’t send me anything and I would tell my members often is there a way the church could help you. I felt god smile with tears saying that’s another reason I chose you. I tell god at times I’d rather have salvation’s for the entire world than all the money and gold in the world and understandings said no man of god has ever prayed that to me basically I’d be a broke king and prophet but bringing many home to god. Smile my lord don’t cry because you’ll make me cry but I’m trying to bring all your children home and I’ll keep spiritually flying back and forth to heaven every day with your children on my back. 🙏🏽👑
