Everyone, check the grocery shelves! In my opinion, all major companies have seen this coming and have dramatically reduced the weight/volume of popular food items through crafty package design. I first really started seeing this around 5 or 6 years ago but they have really gone crazy with it over the last year or so. Everyone knows about shrinkflation but its getting ridiculous. Everything is so much smaller but prices are rising. Even just recently my fav licorice is the same length but 3x thinner and my bagels -1 in the package. Doesn't matter what it is…….unbelievable

If there is one glimmer of hope, it seems to be that the stock market may finally be willing to accept all the pain coming down….or at least what it thinks is coming. The statements of the last couple of days would have sent it down 5%+ earlier this spring, but after the bounce of last week, it's held its ground. It won't last if things actually get worse (inflation, or the economy weakens), but at least we're not seeing the big free fall drops that greeted every bit of bad news earlier this year.
