I saw the video unedited. It’s extremely sad. Hearbreaking. You can tell the employees didn’t care in the unedited video. The young man slipped right out from such a high level and fell directly into the concrete floor. No one came to check him. They called 911 and stood their. I’m so sad. They didn’t care for his young life. They didn’t care about the safety. You can tell they were employees their to collect a check. Just heart breaking . They need to close the ride and take it down! No one should go on this ride ever. It’s in a strip mall and not managed well. I’m certain they don’t do inspections daily. It’s a huge difference with rides at strip malls and Disney or Universal. The theme parks check daily and walk around with flashlights 🔦. These strip mall rides , who knows what they do.
A friend of our family was too big for a ride years ago at the strawberry festival and they took a rope and tied her harness down so that it wouldn't come up while she was in the air. If I were her I wouldn't have gotten on it but everybody can choose what they want to do. I think he was definitely too heavy for the ride and the Icon workers should have known that.

People saying he was big for the ride but the thing is he wasn't checked before going up. There's buckle at the bottom of the harness and when the buckle is clipped no one can fall out. The buckle is not only to secure the person on the ride but it is too keep the harness locked in place.
What went wrong is that he was far too big for the ride, and the seat couldn't take the force his body was exerting on it when the ride went 75mph/80mph towards the ground.
To prevent further tragedies, scales should be placed in front of rides in the future. You must be this tall and not weigh this much.

This sure looks like ride operator error. If that turns out to be right, they should be jailed for the neglect that caused this young mans life. In the video they didn't check physically to make sure everyone was securely fastened in. That's no different then a baby sitter not checking the temperature of a bath that causes death or a driver watching videos that leads to a crash. It's horrible this could have easily been prevented!!!
