The female co-pilot was a captain (12 years with the airline) and she was receiving flight instruction from a company instructor pilot; based on the video of the plane yawing to the left as it did, I would be willing to bet the instructor pilots idled an engine on the her to simulate an engine out — it was also quite nose up, which caused the plane to stall. Anything though would just be a guess right now. What a shame. When I worked in aviation in New England years ago, we had a Business Express flight doing pilot training — the instructor pilot idled the engine on final and they crashed and dies — luckily, they didn't have passengers.

Pilot error
It’s hard to watch any kind of news anymore when all are chasing agendas and trying to blame others for something that could be a simple mistake or accident…..respectfully of course…
I just looked at video of this same type of aircraft(ar-72) landing, and in the video you can clearly see from( front and side angles) the landing flaps which extend at least 3/4 of the way to the wing tips. Which means you should be able to see flaps down in the video footage that has been uploaded so far if the flaps had been down.I noticed this from the Facebook live video they didn't look down but wasn't sure. But after searching video of the same type of plane I seriously don't think they were down. I think that's what they're gonna find was the reason. Sad, sad tragedy.

I highly likely think , main pilot got incapacitated. Stall like visual look like normal , as there nearing the tracks to land. The sudden left turn feels like , someone falling on to control columns or left rudder pushed accidently.
Most likely left engine lost power somehow at the low approach air speed.
