Iowa passed a new bill that bans transgender girls from participating in women’s sports. High school athlete Gavy Smith says playing sports helped her through her transition and that all trans youth “want is just to be included.”

Gabby, I'm sorry your parents are doing this to you, gaslighting you this way and making you believe and say things that are not true. You are enough as you are, don't change, wait to make any changes until you're a fully developed adult because your perspective will change! – with love, someone who survived gender dysphoria.
Gabby is a boy and while at his age I don't think it's a problem that he plays with girls, most sports are co-ed in school until they get more competitive. He will not belong in women's sports when he gets older. His body is that of a male and biology will remind him of that for the rest of his life. Enough is enough. I'm a democrat and as progressive as they come, but NO, this will not fly. Irresponsible men like Gillian need to stop pushing this because we are going to fight you on this all the way – member of the LGB Alliance.
It’s so messed up to have a story with a young child like this who doesn’t yet have the advantages of being biologically male. No one is talking about little kids playing games. This laws to protect women so they can have scholarship opportunities and set records appropriately. It also protects them from being physically harmed in fights where their opponents are not disclosing that they are biologically male.
Because the problem is transitioning
This girl is punished because some 20 year old guys transformed to girls and then won all running and swimming records.
"I haven't thought of sports in a competitive way" ….. Sports are for competing, hobbies are things you do for fun.

If this person wants to play sports against females than they are a cheater. Lots of people are disqualified from sports for many different things this is one of them
if they are doing puberty blockers before they hit puberty, then yeah I understand. but they already hit puberty I'm sorry, but no thats cheating..

This morning I woke up looking like Barf because I was trapped in a dog's body. And, I wanted to join a greyhound race or join a mushing team, that's when I found out I had to deal with fleas.
Boys and girls playing together isn't an issue when they are young. Its when they get to high school and are playing for awards and for college scholarships that it becomes an issue.
Hormone pills doesn't change the physical strength of the person. Science dictates that men are physically stronger than women. I guess science is transphobic.
There can be club teams for these children. However, girls will lose out on scholarships, titles, records. if a biological male (especially one who has gone through puberty) wins.
Playing sports is by definition exclusionary: there are criteria necessary to play and try outs.
It is irresponsible to use LGBT suicide rates to emotionally manipulate women and girls, and allow biological males to play sports.
Good law.
