Iran has claimed responsibility for a missile attack near the U.S. consulate complex in northern Iraq, saying it was retaliation for a deadly Israeli strike in Syria that killed two members of its Revolutionary Guard. Iraqi leaders have condemned the attack, saying it is a “violation of international law and norms” and have demanded an explanation from Iran.

Reporting cites a "second US Official " who says that "no US Government facilities sustained any damage."
They also said the "new consulate building" was unoccupied…?
In both cases, it certainly doesn't look like it from this footage, albeit the damage is minor?
That is IF this is indeed the US Embassy building/complex, which, going by the security & lighting alone, it probably is?

When will people stop being so ignorant and deceived. Despite all of Iran's "justifications" for why they did fire these missiles, their rationale doesn't dismiss the point that they are still wrong for doing it.

The attack was on Israel base not US consulate. The Israel base was built to sabotage and manage terrorist groups inside Iran. The reason the Israel base was built next to the American consulate was that they believed I Iranian would not attack them! Israel attacked Iranian bases in Syria many times and I guess Iranians wanted to respond this way.
