In a country that believes in owners' property rights, there can't be a thing called squaters rights. If a property is abandoned, then there needs to be a formal process to take over said property that respects the owners' rights. Starting with making a positive effort to notify the owner, they think the property is abandoned.
The idea of squaters' rights is sickening to me.

This is going to be worse than 2008, when you compare the amount of money printed then vs now there is no comparison. In order for us to get back to a normal economy we will have to crash twice as hard so when we recover it will be finally somewhat normal as before.

house hunting became a thing for me in mid Jan and the rates were as low as 2.5%, now I'm seeing as much as 7.5% approximately 8. Also homes elevated about 90k or more, and up in the same time frame. I watched 2 houses double their price. Guess I'll wait for the collapse, in the meanwhile, I think Iโll have to diversify my focus to the stock market seeing as everyone believes itโs a good time to invest.

Yes,the Market has been good from 2014 and went Nuts from 2017 till this summer. Values have doubled in some markets in 5 years.
Handed out checks? Well the regular people did not get checks that allowed them to buy those over priced homes. Stop the lies. It was the investors and the banks that were borrowing money at such low rates that drove those home prices up. Stop blaming regular hard working Americans for a "Capitalist" system that helps no one but the rich!

MONEY IS A THEME THAT EVERYONE HAS FOR A BETTER AND LUXURIOUS LIFE. LIFE WAS HARD FOR ME UNTIL I STARTED TRADING AND NOW I AM EARNING $9500 PER WEEK.
It's only a housing crash for buyers who bought in the last few years at these crazy prices. That's why the ones who have to sell now have buyers remorse
Do you think supply chain issue will resolve and there will lot of housing inventory. If so then price can get lower. Otherwise, we will see another bidding war if price lowers
Economists said housing crash would never happen in 2006, then 2008 happened. Economists don't know what's going on, you just have to watch the trends and do your best. I personally think we are in a major correction in many markets and only God knows when they'll see the bottom.
