Jaime did an amazing job! However, I really feel that they SHOULD have cast someone else playing the younger Chente. That actor's singing was trash!! It was a mixture of opera-like wanting to sing mariachi/rancheras. If you know music, you will catch the different off keys that the actor was singing. I understand that NO ONE will ever compare, since Vicente was a STORY TELLER, but they should have cast a different, BETTER singer. Jaime Camil did a great job, though! I honestly stopped watching the series because it made me feel so uncomfortable when listening to the younger actor. The acting was great, except his singing.

Jaime did the singing?!! I did not know that! His voice was beautiful 😍 I do not know too much about Vicente's music or his story because I am more of an Alejandro fan, so watching El Rey was very interesting for me. I know it wasn't all true, but I still enjoyed it and loved that there were so many episodes! The music was amazing ❤️

When I saw this interview with Jaime, I was like 😲😲😲Look, It’s Miguel’s PaPa from “CoCo.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I Love Love Love this series & Jaime did an Incredible job of portraying such an Iconic man & Legend. I had know idea it was Jaime who was playing him. I kept looking and looking at his handsome face and kept thinking 🤔 to myself, “Where have I seen this man before?” 🤔🤔🤔🤔and 💥 Bam 💥 Here he is. I started to cry 😭😭😭😭because my father is no longer here, with us on earth 😭😭😭 He passed away back in 1997, but I know my father would have loved seeing this series about one of his favorite singers. They did one on Luis Miguel and to honest, it should have been better. Iam a Luis Miguel fan and I wish it had more of him in concert and perhaps real footage of the real Luis Miguel. Watching the Vicente series was great. That was more of my parents generation but the actors were all amazing and I loved the story. It was very well done.
