  1. Could anyone describe a side by side comparison of the Titan submersible and a proven/certified sub, the main differencences in design and technology.

  2. Republicans : Deregulate!!! the sub community.

  3. How come PH agreed with all this knowing james warn them

  4. Pushing boundaries, experimental innovations etc is fine when it's your own life you're risking in the pursuit. But when you hoodwink others in to your game under the false pretence it's safe – and take a load of their cash in the process – it becomes unforgivable. I hope the families take his estate for every cent.

  5. Stockton Rush was an irresponsible human that had the right to do whatever he wanted, but NOT to take innocent paying passengers with you on your suicidal escapades. Shame

  6. Why can’t they just respect the grave that is the Titanic. Haven’t people made enough money off the dead?😢

  7. James Cameron made Billions and considers himself an explorer. James you have blood on you're hand's. You have glorified the visitation of graveyard's. I also am a master Mariner although I have been to the Australian Maritime College unlike you I operate Damen Shoel buster tugs all over the coast of Australia. I have completed many rescues as well as huge construction projects. My biggest being the HPX3 Construction project we built 3 coal terminal's from sea to shore. Anyway here is where I disagree with you. I cut my teeth in Sydney Harbour..I worked for Polaris Marine mostly in salvage and rescue here is where I disagree with you. Ok the Titanic is a wreck a very famous one. Now I have brought many wrecks to the surface and obviously with wrecks come bodies, I have recovered a total of 28 bodies 6 of those being my friends. I Strongly mostly commercial diver's I don't know you're background but those 6 friends were very rich and wanted to find treasure offshore on various wrecks. I consider wrecks a Graveyard and they need to be respected. I have left the industry because a rigger called Max was decapitated during a salvage on Sydney Harbour. I saw his brains splatter all over my deck and u had to call his family, a wife and 4 kids. I'm happy for you to dress up in a suit and tell stories but I have first hand experience of billionaire's begging to risk the lives of themselves and my crew to find treasure, and the most disrespectful thing I witness is whenever we found clothing, shoes etc, these indian billionaire's would just push to find"treasure" I was discusted by this behaviour. Come on a salvage with me. We can charter a vessel and you will see why first hand I do not like billionaire's like you that make places of rest a thing of glory for you and your rich friends. Again you have blood on you're hands…

  8. Poor kid.went down on an uncertified piece of junk

  9. Well he is not wrong! He is going to be remembered for the rules he broke!!!

  10. Wow, that quote from Stockton Rush: “I’d like to be remembered as an innovator…remembered for the rules you break” etc….Now he’s remembered as a foolish delusional maniac who got himself & 4 others killed for no reason.

  11. Lack of humility to think for 1 second you can break the rules of physics….like you know more….please stop ✋️

  12. Thanks for posting. Making my rounds watching my fav subs. YouTube has been very informative. Keep the viedos coming we willbe watching thanks again

  13. Ballard is too classy here. He really shows how this should be done. Might be the last gentleman alive. Cameron is his usual overblown self, pontificating with opinions outside of his field of expertise (if any). The fact that Cameron happens to be right about this (it IS within MY fields of experience) doesn't alleviate the effect all that much.

  14. We are at defcon 3 folks.

  15. Poor young man who didn't want to go. Cannot imagine his fear. Thankfully he died instantly. Time to let him and Titanic rest in peace

  16. The owner heard the carbon fiber hull cracking on his very first solo test run, yet did nothing to change his design. He was driven by adventure but also greed.

  17. Ironically, you have better chance surviving in the Titanic than the Titan.

  18. They were gone in a split of a second

  19. Curiosity and NOT MINDING YOUR BUSINESS is a main reason for avoidable disasters like this! Why the need to go see a luxury cruise 🛳 ship 🚢 that sink with 1,532 innocent lives lost to humankind stubbornness and errors… Let those souls rest Peacefully as they all died a horrific death. There's nothing fun, exciting and a must-see destination #FOH Stop being nosy and just learned from mankind's mistakes so tragedies like these never EVER occur again but a century later it sadly still does due to GREED!!

  20. WTH the CEO said he broke some rules DUH! Look how many lives it cost including his own

  21. I believe the passengers dismissed their risk especially when people like Hamish Harding and the French gentleman, Nargoelet(?), who have both been on many dives to Titanic, were willing participants.
Mr. Cameron had said “he couldn’t even process” that Nargoelet was going in the Titan.

  22. "The Wreck of the TiTan"
    1898…

  23. It is always good to listen to the intelligent experts Ballard and Cameron.

  24. As a deep industrial diver for a large science corp I can say down at that depth, its hard to see. my last dive at the titanic was 5 months ago and had only my usual wetsuit system called a recoil air system. i was there for about 2 hours. i am part of the team that is welding the sides back on the titanic so it stays in one piece when we bring it to surface.

  25. Disturbing to think these are the first people to perish at the Titanic wreck since 1912.

  26. Building more than One prototype would have allowed a maintenance schedule

  27. SR You definitely are being remembered over the rules you broke.

  28. "Theres rules and carbon fiber and titanium, you don't do that, well I did" that's it. Done. Retarded words and actions.

  29. My buddy found a plastic tube that can fit 3 people. It's offers a panoramic view and we sat on it so should be sturdy enough. Would anyone like to explore the Titanic with us?

  30. Be remembered for killing people

  31. Experimental technology has saved many lives. He took shortcuts!

  32. a bunch of boats loaded with people have sunk , but you would never know about it watching TV in the USA .

  33. The US Navy detected the implosion at the time the sub lost contact with the surface, but for days the public was treated to endless blather about 96 hours of oxygen, and the USCG told us they were looking for survivors. All the while they knew there were no survivors and they were really looking for wreckage.

Is the US government honest about ANYTHING any more???

  34. 5 lives were lost. A moment of silence is in order.

  35. I wouldn't of gone if you paid me. Too claustrophobic, just a thought of being bolted in there, is a nightmare and use of uncertified material, and no escort. It was just matter of time.

  36. It's called a loophole…. something US politicians (not exclusively) turn a blind eye to as long as there is money changing hands.

  37. Imagine being a billionaire and using off the shelf materials and items to build a sub to go 4 thousand feet below water. Did he think it was some sort of high school project?

  38. Oh, Mr. Rush will be remembered for the rules he broke, alright.

  39. Cameron can now direct movie "The Titan"

  40. Another couple of Darwin awards issued.

  41. He definitely will be remembered for the rules he broke😅

  42. Surely two of the most knowledgeable and respected experts of deep sea exploration. Great to hear from them. Their analysis is very interesting. 👍👍
