Wow, Airbus A350 emergency design and the airline evacuation process are amazing.
First they had a big earthquake and then the plane crash! This is not a good New Year for Japan, but it's a miracle that the plane that had the 300 people on it all survived. It's sad that the small plane lost 5 people and Japan had the earthquake that killed a lot of people it is so sad for everyone there because they are still recuperating from the earthquake in 2011! My condolences goes out to all families that lost their loved ones and my prayers are with them all!๐๐๏ธ๐๐งธ

First accident regarding an a350
Almost looks like a carbon copy of the 1991 LAX runway collision. Didnโt look like the Dash-8 had itโs strobes or landing lights on, so it wouldโve been very difficulty for the JAL crew to spot navigation lights that essentially blend into the runway lights. ATC either forgot about sending the Dash-8 through or the Dash-8 got lost and ended up on the runway at the worst possible time.
It took more than 6 hours to extinguish the fire. What a disaster. The small coast guard jet was about to fly out toward the yesterday's earthquake site, to bring relief goods to Ishikawa Prefecture. True heros in this case were the JAL crew members, who tried to calm all the passengers, leading them to the safe exits, and within 2 minutes, all 367 passengers were safely out. The cause was said to be human error in the confusion of communications between JAL pilots, the coast guard jet pilots and the Control Tower.
It should be mandatory for pilots to have night vision goggles available, when driving around the airport at night. ๐
Being calm and orderly probably saved many lives of the passengers. I think Americans would fight each other and fat bodies would block the exit.
My heart goes to the 5 coast guard members who didn't make it. I also hope and pray that there aren't any animals inside the cargo area during the fire.
The Dash 8 is a regional plane, in this case it was a military version which was hit by the land a350, which like a train, can't stop on a dime. The airbus held up very well all things considered after such a crash. Something similar happened at LAX in 91 between a 737 and fairchild metro regional plane, which sadly ended up in far worse shape. The jumbo's size and height above all in today's crash likely helped keep everyone safe. Had it been a smaller plane this may well have been a far worse disaster.

I once heard a story how Jesus healed ten lepers. Only one went back to say thank you. 379 peeple and crew were literally seconds away of burning alive including children. Thank you God for this miracle escape. Your works are everywhere if only we can see them.

Why all the news channels never show how ppl got rescued, all they show is how plane is burning, why they hide the moment where ppl manged to get out, maybe for more rating and views or what?
