  1. Hahahaha this was not due to Covid. My JCpenny store was empty mid-day every time I wen to the mall. They have nothing anyone wants. Kohls took all their bussiness. JCpennys is going the way of Sears because they did NOT adapt to changing times.

  2. I am happy the are closing stores especially since I got fired two years ago for taking maternity leave. They deserve it for the crappy way they treat employees

  3. Circle K had Appreciation Pay

  4. None of you would be talking like this if you were the owners of the businesses going under but because you’re not it’s easy to demand more money but if it were you I guarantee you’d be doing the exact same thing js

  5. Kroger's is also the owner of Food for Less

  6. JCPenney is going to be closed but other different stores markets and supermarkets will be closing as well that because of this problem of a pandemic of a Coronavirus especially that web customers come in and many people are not see this coming widest dog has data about what is happening every well on well 50 states or 51 states it will be closing soon

    only time will tell

PS I am handicapped two words English and Spanish and many of you that you do understand and many of you that you don't understand but this is not a fantasy this is real

  7. This isn’t a new beginning, this is the end

  8. I stopped shopping there 12 years ago. 1 person working the Shoe Department on a Saturday, 4 People waiting. They could have easily had the shoes on display and stacked for self service.

  9. Why aren’t they get bail out money? Or any of the retailers? The government made it easy to import cheap, cheesy goods. They eliminated healthy competition. They let foreigners own and control US comp. Now we have nothing. It stores with little stock and no choices.

  10. You could write a PhD dissertation on the destruction of US retail, but a large part of the problem is that quality is no longer important to the average consumer: quality as far as the build quality of the product and also quality in terms of the sales process, service after the sale, warranty issues, etc.. When I was a kid in the 1970s, stores like JCPenny, Sears, Montgomery Wards had made in the USA (for the most part) quality merchandise. Heck, even Penneys/JCPenneys had a full selection of tools (auto, woodworking, metal, etc.) that were mostly USA made and parts were readily available to repair these tools. Now we live in a world where products are made to last just a certain period of time and then toss them away in the garbage, as one single replacement part can cost almost as much as buying a new item. It's a race to the bottom — crap products made by sweatshop labor in 3rd-world countries. Sad.

  11. i loved JCPenney So much.. All my favorite stores are closing! if we could sue these billionares, including Trump &obama and hundreds they invited, Cyberstalking us in Iran , paying the IR offcls, junkie father & offcls and Russian Iranian gang in Iran & USA & supporting their abuse against us in the last 4-5 years, 24/7, So Far! i would revive All the stores closed .. aple, mcrsft, amzn, tsla, dsny, ….. goes on .. cyberstalkers & intruders and abusers!

  12. I beieve a major reason why JC Penney is going in to Chapter 11 is due to its faiilure to treat customers with respect relative to credit debt. The backbone of its customer base were people who live paycheck to paycheck; those who could not ome up with $500 to bail out an emergency to same their lives. Almost everyone hits a rough patch and needs understanding on repaying debt once and awhile, I had 100% on time payments with JC Penney for more than a year when I requested time to pay my bill. I looked forward to starting a new job but JC Penney said you do not pay the entire amount due, we will not accept a partial payment, and if you do not pay we terminate your account. Gone are the days of handshake trust and today computers are always right. JC Penney's all or notthing attitude on repayment of debt got that company where it is today. People say to themselves, I want to pay but my credit is gone so forget it just "put me in collection," JC Penney is getting what they deserve and that company treated me like trash forgetting all the exellent rating I had with it before I just needed a little time to get my life together again.

  13. This world is sucking more and more with these bankruptcies

  14. An extra $2/hr is THAT MUCH of a hardship on a company's bottom while they are seeing record high sales??? GTFOH!!!!

  15. Remember “You’re Looking Smarter Than Ever”? And now it’s “Not Looking Smaller Than Ever”. And then, there was “It’s All Inside”, it’s now “It’s NOT Inside”. I used to go to JCPenney all the time.

  16. lol JC Penny cant sell on line but 14 year olds can. let em fail. dinosaurs dont roam Earth.

  17. Haha, we can't put a price on your safety but if we had to… 2$ an hour extra should suffice.

  18. I thought this place was going to file for chapter 11 for the last 10 years lol

  19. they had pre exiting bankruptcy because of amazon. Jeff bezoz puts local and Major buisnees out. He is a freak. BTw trump made this happen. What a bad man'

  20. Marked for destruction as it is prophecy.
