They ignored all the signs and all his pleas for help. He knew he had severe mental illness. The school told them and they brushed the school off. What angered me was when Ethan was being interrogated his parents were allowed in briefly. All she could do was shout 'why, why, why'.
Because you never got him the psychiatric help he so desperately needed, that's why.
She bought a gun for her mentally unwell son like cmon anything can happen. As for the boy he is 15 he knows his actions has consequence's
If only the parents had listened to their kid and not blown him off. He was literally asking for help and they couldnt be bothered. I guess now she'll wish she'd heard.
She needs to get 5 to 10 yrs at LEAST.
Her son was struggling mentally but that is where this country is failing at. We have adults in the streets who are mentally ill committing awful crimes. Drug addiction is a illness that will cause individuals to commit crimes and the government turns a blind eye. Tell me what is the difference. Why should she be convicted of a crime but not society or the government. Look at the Nashville shooter she/he was gender confused. Mental illness and we are protecting its parents.
I agree with the jury you bought that gun for an underaged child. You told him don't take it to school and don't show people. He did both and you are part of the cause that killed those people
I honestly think she never thought her son had the balls to shoot up the school. I don’t think she deserves to be put in prison for life. Maybe give her 5 to 10 yrs.
In my country Serbia, that is the law for centuries. Parents are fully responsible for the actions of underage kids

If you have teenagers you have to lock up your guns I don't care how calm they seem. Teenagers have emotional problems. Even though we were raised with guns in our family things have changed
