Crumbley admitted her son expressed anxiety about his future after high school, but said she didn’t believe it was serious enough to seek mental health treatment.

Being found guilt is just the first step. Hopefully this will not result in a slap on the wrist. Make this meaningful, Michigan!
It's about time a parent was held accountable for not locking up firearms in the home. If she and her husband had their guns locked up to where he couldn't get to them, and been attentive to their son's needs, she wouldn't be in this situation. I hope this ruling sets a precedent and puts parents on notice that they too are responsible for school shootings when they don't secure the guns in their home.
So now what, go after past shooters parents. This is very scary, who can't they go after now. Maybe we should concentrate on mental illness, probably bullying in schools. There's a lot we can do, but nothing does. Not saying there is not some fault, but we as parents would never believe our children are capable of such an act. Now besides having to deal with grief over lost children taken, then one put in prison for the rest of his life. Now there is parents will suffer not only with death of innocent children by someone else's child, now prison not knowing your child would do such a brutal act. No one comes out of this alive, just sad!
I can't believe anyone would be held accountable for the actions of another individual. The Blame is on the individuals at fault Not there friends not the significant other not the parents there's no justice in blaming the mother for something she did do
Why didn’t the defense attorney do the back of her hair? Everything I’ve seen of her in this trail really has me questioning her sanity.
She seems smart. She was aware of her sons problems, except, of course, when she wasn’t home because she was cheating on her husband.
The jury got this right! Something's wrong when it's easier for a kid to get a gun, than it is to drive a car. With cars you need a license and prove that you can safely operate it, with a gun you don't need anything, that goes for adults too. Parents should be held accountable for allowing their kids to access their guns, either accidentally or intentionally.
I’m thrilled she was found guilty. This trial is a monumental move in the right direction. It has always both perplexed and angered me that we don’t hold the parents of mass shooters more accountable.
Can you really blame the mother for what the son did I don’t know man
Free the Frump !
Disgrace.
I am so grateful for my parents and my heart breaks for those who aren’t as fortunate. They are not perfect, nor am I, but I am blessed that they are there for me in my darkest times ❤
You can't be fully responsible for a teen who is hiding things from you, lying to you, deceiving you, manipulating you, using you to get a gun so he can become a famous school shooter. This case is frivolous, has no grounds to go anywhere.
Parents are supposed to be accountable, for their minor children’s actions. She should be tried for the same 24 counts as her son.
She was literally told by the school that morning, and made the choice to dismiss their concerns. She can't claim ignorance when she was told but then chose not to take the warnings seriously. Based on this, I find it easy to believe Ethan asked for help and she ignored him, too. You can't make someone see what they refuse to see.
Good testimony. Not guilty. This is exactly why no other parents of school shooters have ever been charged. It turns out to be nothing more than putting the parents under a microscope and nitpicking flaws, with no evidence that they ever suspected he would betray their trust and take the gun and shoot people with it. Prosecution fail
You can just tell she’s bullshitting all of her responses.
What makes you think any of this is believable? Theres so many texts of him begging you for help. The school told you multiple times. To make it seem like it was just normal teenage anxiety is going to backfire so hard. Why would she think this is a good idea??🤦🏽
She was busy cheating and drinking
BS..😢
Man has she ate fast with all that stress
she can go to prison
She wouldn’t be there if she just had a messed up kid but didn’t buy him a gun he couldn’t have killed a ton with a knife
Lie ing she knew he was a mess and she bought him a gun so dumb
Omg please she is luring
