Former President Donald Trump must pay $354 million for fraudulent business practices, Judge Arthur Engoron has ruled.
Trump’s sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have been fined $4 million apiece, and former Trump Organization CFO has been fined $1 million.

That doomsday scenario was avoided. Partly because Congress approved a first corona aid package within a few weeks that released an unprecedented $2 trillion. Hundreds of billions of dollars went to struggling entrepreneurs, unemployment benefits were significantly increased, and most Americans received government checks. Census Bureau figures show that those checks lifted 11.7 million Americans above the poverty line of $30,000 a year, for a family of four.
One of the cheerleaders of the direct payments was (then) President Donald Trump. He thus transformed the Republican Party, which previously was very critical of new government spending and a high national debt. As president, Trump greatly expanded the government, almost without criticism from his party members. The vast majority of Americans, nine in ten, were positive about Trump's support packages.
