In the Windsor Ontario area we have recently had TWO loose kangaroos on the hop. They were zoo escapees, didn't seem to mind the cold and after a few days were safely captured and returned to their owners.

That kangaroo belongs to somebody. The original owners raised it, it got big and they decided if they put it in an awkward situation, then the authorities would find it a home. I think when the kangaroo comes over and looks at the people he's probably looking for his original owners who dropped him off and it wondered why they left him.
Kangaroos just don't come out of nowhere. Somebody brought him there.
