Kentucky lawmakers passed a bill that bans gender-affirming care for transgender youth in the state, overriding a veto from Democratic Governor Andy Beshear. Prior to the vote, at least 19 people were arrested after dozens of protesters entered the House Chamber to oppose the bill.

I watched a documentary where people literally wanted their legs cut off or to become blind. They strongly believe that having their limbs removed or pouring acid into their eyes to become blind would lead to a better quality of life…
Isn't transitioning the same thing?
Should children be allowed to remove their legs just so it could match how they feel on the inside?

If gender dysphoria is a diagnosable mental disorder that takes actual professionals to evaluate, why is gender-affirming care for transgender youth such a problem? If it takes a medical professional for them to qualify for transition, then we know they're not just going through some kind of phase or are merely influenced by culture.
Does anyone even take the time to understand what drives people to transition? why it's not as simple as "oh, i feel like being a boy today so i'm gonna go through life-altering surgery just-because!" ?

Good for them. So many people regret transitioning.once.they get a little older. If you can't drink.alcohol.till your 18 or 21 why should you be able to cut body parts off or take hormones that can permanently alter you….they didn't say they couldn't have help but just not as a child.

Instead of youth, you should say "kids". As I have been watching 4 years old boys being mutilated because of crazy parents. Really, who thinks it's a good idea to transition kids that don't even know yet they're straight or guei? These are the ones commiting genocide, imagine the boy grows up and finds out he is straight and wants to have a traditional relationship, he will not be able to do so. The second case, what if they boy grow up and discover he's guei and his organ is gone? 🤡 Clown, clown, clown.

mutilating a developing child is ok? Even if your argument is that they have a right to choose. That you allow a being to decide such a life impacting change who doesn’t hold the same cognitive level as a adult. Is irresponsible. Do the parents even talk about the repercussions of such a thing or do they just hold No accountability and throw it on the children’s decision as that’s what they want. If they want to do go through a process such as that then why not wait until they’re a legal adult to make the decision themselves?
People are sick of this ideology. Sweden who has gone too far on this front is only now realizing they have harmed kids through these policies – US, don't make the same mistake, the same mistakes. Transgender storytime? Have people who the kids can look up to, who have achieved things in life be role models, not a bunch of guys who dress as women.

Very good that this law has been passed. mutilating a child to fulfill the whim of a few, who cannot accept their reality, and altering the physics of their bodies is something terrible. if they want to do it when they are of legal age and all their knowledge is their problem. but letting a child or adolescent damage their life because yes, it's not right, those who ask that it be possible must believe and stop acting like spoiled children .
They must stop treating children as their toys, and start worrying about their upbringing and well-being.
