Key suspect in Natalee Holloway disappearance pleads not guilty

Joran van der Sloot, the chief suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway, pleaded not guilty to extortion and wire fraud charges. The charges against van der Sloot are tied to a 2010 FBI sting operation where he’s accused of promising to disclose the whereabouts of Holloway’s remains in return for 25,000. NBC News’ Sam Brock reports.

  1. Wire fraud charges.. 20 years.
    What about trumps wire fraud..?
    20 years..?

  2. With proper nutrition and good medical health he'll see Freedom someday and you helped him get back in shape

  3. If he has any ounce of decency… he would provide Natalie’s parents with the info they are so deeply craving… what happened to Natalie… WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME! He’s gonna be in jail pretty much for the rest of his life (pretty sure there no leniency in Peru)… so this Wld also be a good chance for him to get some leniency in the US justice system. I’m 100% sure if he give true evidence and answers to what REALLY happened to Natalie… her parents Wld agree to forgo prosecution. I truly hope this will be the result at the end of the day…. For those great parents sake!

  4. The whole nation is behind this family! We all know and remember Natalie Holloway! Justice shall be served! 🙏🏻

  5. I don t know anything about this and I don t really care to find out anything

  6. He’s getting out in 2038 when he was found guilty of murder? That’s not right, he should have gotten life in prison.

  7. That nasty, dirty, ugly murderer should be buried under the prisoner!

  8. Youtube getting fast at removing comments

  9. How old is this case?
    Nobody cares anymore.

  10. I served as a hospital and police chaplain, and I can tell you that no matter how many things this guy serves time for, there will be no closure without finding out the complete truth about Natalee. Please pray for that.🙏

  11. That's messed up you got to wait till 2038 to get Justice. Well that's if he survives till 2038

  12. The time and resources they spend on white people opposite to them not even looking for young black women and children and guys as well. I'm so sick of this case.

  13. He’s guilty right along with his buddies!

  14. I hope they have the footage of Van Der Sloot saying that he took her body out to sea and threw her overboard. Sloot was riding around with a guy that had his vehicle bugged. Anybody remember that?

  15. How nice for him to be guarded so he's safe & flown around the world.

  16. Natalee was tossed in the Caribbean sea.
They will never find her remains.
It is sad, but that is most likely what happened.

  17. They need to investigate his Father

  18. This guy being in a prison in Peru did not bring closure to the Holloway family, but it was probably the best they, were going to get. Being here makes no sense. They are not going to find him guilty, and it just reopens the wound. If this guy killed Natalie, God knows that, and unless he repents, his punishment will be eternal and in the lake of fire.

  19. Sure because innocent people blackmail murder victims parents for cash and say they know the location of the body and details of what happened to the victim.

At the very least he’s guilty of defrauding her mom

  20. i sure hope the halloway family is protected with police during his stay..i'm sure they are…stay safe >3

  21. sucks the judge won't allow cameras now…maybe at the trial? IDK..it is a very high profile case..bigger than casey anthonys or jodi arias..

  22. What a piece of chit. Get him in general population so we can get swift justice for Natalee and her Mom.
