Awe!!! I had open heart surgery 46 years ago and have had special bonds with some younger patients and their parents. It’s a beautiful thing to share your story and give hope to parents and peace of mind to the children when they learn they can live a fairly normal life afterwards.
My story started with a heart defect and I got endocarditis in 1976 before having my surgery. I survived, had kids, fostered kids in the Orlando area, and have lived a full life with so many more beautiful days full of more memories to come!! Stay strong!!! 😘
