Standing up to a bully is never the wrong move. The important thing here is that China thinks that Biden meant what he said, or at least they don't know if he meant it or not. China has no right to invade and take Taiwan by force. That act would cause complete disaster in the world economy and totally destabilize Asia.
Xi and Putin should just look at our southern border and do the same: china could launch boats full of migrants to land on taiwan's shores and take over politically. how could taiwan turn such migrants away given the example of our own mayorkas? there are 1.3 billion mainland chinese and only 23 million chinese on taiwan. given that about 2-3 million illegals are crashing our border every year, it would only take china 5 years to sway the politics of taiwan.
