I’m Armenian (2nd generation Armenian-American born in California) and my people suffered a real genocide. There were many pockets of Armenians in the eastern half of present-day Türkiye, and the Ottomans wiped them out. Gone. That’s genocide.

Academia and universities are the first place people realize when civilization is headed in the wrong direction. This also happened when western countries were still colonizing the world before the second world war. While politicians and aristocrats glorified their power to colonize Asian and African countries, academics were the first to speak out against it. And history repeats itself.
