There’s absolutely nothing wrong with government debt as long as it is actually funding items such as infrastructure. Borrowing money just to throw around like a drunken sailor on inconsequential nonsense is what is bad.

Nobody will ever ever ever convince me debt is a good thing. My grandpa used to try to tell me that while at the same time told me he hated going to work every day. I’m almost done paying off my house and then I will have zero debt. Low cost of living is key to a flexible life. You don’t want to be stuck doing something you don’t want to do for the rest of your life because you have debt.
Larry normally says a lot of smart thing but saying consumers are smart is not one of them. Too many consumers are actually dumb why they are living on debt and don’t know how to live within their means.
